MB Series Direct Current Motor KD Series

DIRECT CURRENT MOTORS:

HIGH EFFICIENCY, PERMANENT MAGNET DC MOTORS

The Hurst DC motor is a brush type, permanent-magnet field, sub-fractional hp motor and is available with integeral gear unit. With the constant flux permanent magnet field, the speed torque and current-torque curves are linear, no field excitation is required, and reliability and efficiency are improved. Direct current motors are frequently used in applications where wide range speed control is required.

The KD, DC motor is of the permanent magnet type featuring high efficiency, no field supply requirement, low heat and linear speed-torque characteristics. Only two leads allow simple reversing.

The KD is furnished with a heavy duty integeral gear unit with a wide range of reductions available. Gearing is of "Heli-Spur" design with helical gears in the primary stage for quiet operation and hardened spur gears in the secondary stages. Mounting dimensions conform to NENA 2-11 standard.

Nominal voltage is 90 VDC. Armature windings can be furnished for different voltages. Consult Beckwith Electronics for operating characteristics at other voltages.
Motors are available for 6 VDC, 12 VDC, and 24 VDC.

Note: All performance data are based upon operation with uniform direct current. Rectified and non-filtered AC will give different performance values.
